Registry

More information as it comes available. We’re a bit conflicted about this.

We really don’t need anything. Seriously – we’ve got two houses full of stuff (ask us about our idea to have an “anti-shower” where we give away duplicate/triplicate household goods to our guests). And the idea behind our wedding is to have our friends and family with us to help us celebrate, not to ask for or expect presents.
But we really enjoy giving people gifts – for important occasions, and whenever we see something that reminds us of them - and understand where some of our guests may feel the same.

We’re contemplating registering for donations to the charities most important to us, and for a few material goods to help guide those who don’t feel they’ve gifted unless it’s something tangible.

Stay tuned.

UPATE:

Okay, we caved.

So many of our friends and family have given us wonderful gifts by helping us pull this whole event together – from web design to penmanship to manicures and hotel reservations.   We have come to realize how much these expressions mean to the givers, in addition to how much they mean to us. Thank you!

If anyone feels so moved, some ideas:

Traditional:

So what if we plan on using china to serve hot dogs, brats, pizza, and Thai take-out – doesn’t fast food deserve some dignity too? We’ve got a list going at Bloomingdale’s

Non-traditional:

You can see from our engagement pictures that we are working on our 1967 Mustang when we have time and Ken has gotten as far as the front suspension (and he will definitely need some garage time after all this wedding planning).  We’ve linked to many of the parts (and some miscellany) via Amazon’s Ultimate Registry.

Helping Others

Honoring this event by contributing to one of the organizations we support is something we find tremendously meaningful:

Best Friends Animal Society – Christina has supported and volunteered with this amazing organization for years, and Ken has joined her many times. Consider supplying something off the Wish List that will directly help the animals (we can help with shipping). Or, explore one of the many other ways to provide support.

American Cancer Society Ken has supported this far-reaching and important organization for nearly 20 years. There are numerous ways to support the organization in general, or one of its many programs here.

Thank you!
